Underwood Folding Shooting Sticks are specifically designed to absorb the shock as the firearm recoils on the padded portion of the rest. This is accomplished through the use of a flexible coupling that joins the two poles together, allowing the shock to be dampened by the rest itself. Because our rests do not attach to your firearm you don't have to re-zero your firearms when using our rests.

To activate the Underwood Rest in the field, you simply use one hand to remove the rest from it's handy belt pouch and it will automatically unfold and assemble itself. Then just spread the legs of the bipod to adjust the height. You never have to take your eyes off the target.
Competitive bipods that attach to your firearm may require that you adjust telescoping parts and re-zero your firearms because of the added forward weight when using them.
Because we use our patented ring junction our poles are held very close together and remain parallel preventing the legs from flopping around and creating noise like other competitive copies of our shooting stix that use the molded junction that we invented in 1992. Because our legs remain parallel our rests are much easier to pull apart and fold to a much smaller size for pouch storage. In 1992 we also invented the friction joint on the legs where they fold but opted after extensive testing to use a superior design rubber noise reducer that allows the legs to be pulled apart much easier. We also use steel points instead of aluminum to insure a firm grip on the ground.
